Andrea Harman has worked in the field of room acoustics for many years and is active in investigating the link between the sound environment and health and well-being. During her MSc. research in dementia and the built environment this focus expanded to encompass the impact of design on all our senses. From this framework she writes and presents on utilising positive sensory aspects of design as tools for inclusion and aids to recovery. Living in the beautiful Forest of Dean she is an active member of the local Dementia Action Alliance working to improve community accessibility for people with dementia.
