New Secure CAMHS refurbishments project which used the SWITCH anti-barricade door system to allow the staff to safely access the patients in an emergency.  Kingsway Group also supplied the Door Top Ligature Monitors which interfaced with the main access control system.  Studio Four Architects carried out the design services for Southern Health NHS Trust.

A brief overview of the Safehinge Primera en-suite door which provides patient privacy and dignity without compromising safety.  Traditionally an en-suite bathroom door is the highest risk rating in any Mental Health bedroom – positioned behind a closed door and with obvious ligature risks at all heights.  SHP’s unconventional solution offers partial observation while retaining patients’ privacy and dignity. The staff-only reset option also interrupts patient ligature learning techniques.
