Biography

Yusuf Muhammad is an industrial designer and engineer who graduated with a double master’s degree in Innovation Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London. He is currently the Director of Plumis, a company he co-founded to commercialise Automist, a system he co-invented – the only intelligent home fire suppression system that targets fire at its source, activating early for faster suppression, using less water. He also appeared on the BBC2 documentary series Big Life Fix, where he joined a team of designers, engineers, programmers, and tech experts tasked with creating life-changing solutions for everyday people.
