Biography

Sarah Ogilvie joined the Civil Service in 2008, initially focusing on national youth employment initiatives through Developing the Young Workforce. She later served as Head of Genetic Medicine and, in 2023, as Head of Change and Implementation for the Ukraine Resettlement Programme. Since April 2024, Sarah has worked with the Scottish Prison Service, leading the Independent Talk to Me Review. She developed the strategic framework for the FAI Taskforce and now serves as Project Director, with particular oversight of cell and personal safety and suicide prevention, placing those in our care at the heart of improvement efforts.
