John Blackwell is Group Director at Britplas, a leading innovator in secure fenestration solutions for mental health environments. With over 25 years’ experience in quantity surveying (MRICS) and project delivery, John has spent two decades driving Britplas’ growth and technical innovation. He played a key role in the development of the Safevent window alongside Kevin Gorman and has helped shape the company’s wider secure product portfolio. Combining commercial expertise with deep sector knowledge, John champions intelligent and evidence-based design that balances safety, therapeutic outcomes and performance in complex healthcare environments.
