Biography

Karen Lommel, DO, MHA, MS, currently serves as the Jolley Endowed Chair for the Department of Psychiatry and the Medical Director for the Marshall I Pickens Psychiatric Hospital at Prisma Health in Greenville, South Carolina. She is boarded and practices as an adult and child psychiatrist as well as an emergency physician. Dr. Lommel completed a dual-degree program to receive a medical degree and master’s in healthcare administration, then went on to complete a combined residency training program in pediatrics, adult psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry and later emergency medicine at the University of Kentucky.
