Biography
Donna Ciarlo is a doctoral student and teaches psychology at London South Bank University (LSBU); a qualitative researcher who uses creative, visual, and innovative approaches in her research. Prior to working in academia, she worked across a wide range of sectors and international organisations including not-for-profit, trade associations and public sector. Donna has worked on published mental health research projects alongside Professors Paula Reavey and Steve Brown (both DIMNH board members). Her PhD research (supervised by Prof. Reavey, Dr Carrus and Dr Civai) is an interdisciplinary neuro-psychosocial approach exploring patient and staff lived experience of the social spaces in acute mental health hospital wards.
