Design in Mental Health

Synopsis

As clinical care pathways continue to change to support patient recovery, so too is the design of mental health environments and operational policies that underpins the delivery of care especially in inpatient facilities. In this clinical design session, we have three great speakers who will demonstrate how design and new innovative systems can have a positive impact on patient recovery, patient experience and clinical outcomes. These innovative initiatives help patients to get back in the community, hence decreasing the ever-increasing pressures on mental health services and inpatient beds by reducing patients’ length of stay in hospitals.
