David co-founded arts organisation MBD after graduating Lancaster University in 1997. After going solo in 2012 he has recorded a clinical depression concept album (Good Friday) which he turned into a show, written a children’s book (The Nose That Nobody Picked) which he turned into a musical, and penned a memoir about recovering from a brain injury (Tea Bags, Soap, Be Normal) which … well … is just a book actually. He recently finished an MA in Creative Writing and received a first with distinction. ‘David Parkin’s Delusions of Grandeur’ will appear at Bethlem Museum of the Mind in 2020.
