Badge Policy

Whilst on site at this event it is required, for the purposes of identification, safety and security, for all attendees to always wear their registration badge.

Badges carry a bar code. That bar code can be used within the exhibition for enquiry purposes. Exhibitors and other associates may have bar code readers and scanning software on hand-held devices and other computerised systems.

By allowing your bar code to be scanned by any such device; you are giving consent to pass over your contact details as provided when you registered for the event – akin to handing over a business card.

Should you require any alterations to the information on your badge, you are responsible for notifying the organisers who can action any changes.

Badges will be scanned on entering the exhibition purely for the purposes of recording attendance levels. Your contact details will not be used because of being scanned at this point.

Your badge will also be scanned should you choose to enter any conference or seminar area within the event. By allowing your badge to be scanned, you are also agreeing that your personal data may be used by the organisers of this event and any third-party hosting provider acting at the event on the organiser’s behalf.

Uses will include but not be limited to delivering the event; keep all attendees updated of event developments; and for analysing visitor attendance patterns (eg conference sessions, exhibition presentations, etc) – the purpose being to assess the popularity of features and sessions and to improve the overall event experience.

This event is organised by Step Exhibitions Ltd and the Design in Mental Health Network. Please call 01892 518877 if you have any questions about this badge policy.

This version of the privacy policy is effective as of November 2024.
